Guide to Creating Full Separated Audio Files
This guide covers the essential steps for processing audio files on Karapella - from selecting a stem on the DJ Knob to downloading your completed tracks.
Select a Stem
On the home page, use the DJ Knob to select your desired stem - Karaoke, Vocals, BG Vocals, Drums, Bass, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Piano, Synth, Strings, or Wind. Each dot on the knob represents a different stem.
Upload Your File
Drag and drop your audio file onto the center of the DJ Knob, or click to browse. The filename will appear with a ✕ button to remove it. For Vocals, you can enable the Dereverb toggle.
Preview the Result
Click "Start Preview" to begin processing. After the circular progress ring completes, you'll see the DualPlayerMixer with an interactive waveform. Listen to and compare the separated tracks. An amber notice reminds you that the preview includes a short Karapella jingle.
Check Quality
Use the DualPlayerMixer to play the preview and adjust individual track volumes. Verify the separation quality meets your expectations before proceeding.
Process Full File
Click "Process Full File" to continue. A confirmation modal shows the balance (in seconds) that will be deducted. Click "Continue" to confirm and start full processing.
Download Your Tracks
Once processing completes, the DualPlayerMixer updates with full-length tracks and the "Download All" button becomes active. You can also find your files in the My Files section via the navigation bar.
(Optional) Create Karaoke Video
If you selected the Karaoke stem, you can proceed to generate lyrics and create a karaoke video. See the dedicated lyrics and video creation guides for details.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I isolate vocals? Select the Karaoke or Vocals stem on the DJ Knob and upload your file. After clicking "Start Preview," you'll see the DualPlayerMixer with a preview of the separated tracks. The preview includes a short Karapella jingle that won't appear in the full files. Click "Process Full File" and confirm the balance deduction to get clean, full-length tracks. Download from the results page or the My Files section.
