Every Step in Generating a Karaoke Video
Before generating a video, ensure your full karaoke files are processed and your lyrics are generated and edited to your satisfaction. If not, see the lyrics creation and fixing guides first.
Step 1: Verify Your Lyrics Are Ready
Make sure you have generated lyrics and reviewed them carefully. Play through the entire track on the karaoke screen to confirm all lyrics are accurate, properly timed, and free of errors. Any issues should be fixed using the inline editor and Timeline panel before proceeding.
Step 2: Choose Your Background
At the bottom of the karaoke screen, you'll see a background selector - a thumbnail strip labeled "BG" with color swatches, preset images, and a "+" button to upload your own background image. Select or upload the background you want for your video. The karaoke screen updates in real time to show your choice.
Step 3: Customize Subtitle Style
Click the Subtitle Style button in the Timeline toolbar to open a style drawer. Here you can adjust font, size, text colors, outline, glow effect, pill background, shadow, vertical position, and margin. All changes preview live on the karaoke screen so you can see exactly how your video will look.
Step 4: Generate the Video
Click "Generate Video" (the button shows a counter like "1/3" indicating how many of your 3 attempts you've used). A consent modal appears with a checklist: confirm your lyrics look good, your background is set correctly, and that you have a maximum of 3 generation attempts. Confirm to start generation.
Step 5: Monitor Progress
A progress bar appears with status text tracking the generation process. The video is rendered server-side and typically takes a few minutes depending on the song length.
Step 6: Download Your Video
When generation completes, a green "Video ready!" card appears with a Download button. Click it to save your MP4 video. The video uses your playback (instrumental) track as the audio, with your styled lyrics overlaid on your chosen background. You can also find the video in the My Files section via the navigation bar.
Technical Details
The generated file is in MP4 format. The audio track is the instrumental/playback only (no vocals). The video duration matches the playback track length. The lyrics and background appear exactly as shown on the karaoke screen preview.
